Education: pregnant women, parents, medical providers, school officials and property owners Case management: households with children age 6 and younger and pregnant women; client must be diagnosed with an elevated blood lead level of 5 micrograms per deciliter; call for information. SEARCH TERMS: Lead Poisoning Screening Provides education about lead poisoning in children and pregnant women. Also offers case management for children and pregnant women with elevated blood lead levels. Case management includes hazard and exposure identification, exposure prevention coaching, nutrition coaching, safe cleaning practice, and medical follow-up coordination with primary care physicians. In addition, accepts and investigates lead hazard complaints, conducts lead testing and lead poisoning tests, and enforces laws/orders for lead paint removal and other practices that endanger public health.
